STEP INSIDE, THINK OUTSIDE
I learnt a lot during my time of schooling at Joyce Ababio College of creative Design which I will never forget; hard work, decisiveness, persistence. I learnt how to work hard for myself as a fashion designer and push to ascertain my goals in life. I made good friends at school too because sharing the same passion is a timeless and priceless achievement to open new doors and opportunities both short and long term. The teachers in Joyce Ababio were not only teachers but also became life coaches, counsellors and some became family along the line in helping to shape me to face real life
JACCD taught me a lot about time management and also being able to work under pressure. It taught me a lot about creativity, working with patterns and being able to make outfits out of plastic bottles. I learnt that when it comes to fashion there are no limits and I love the facts that I can design and make clothes for myself
At JACCD, learnt to create my own patterns from scratch which allowed me better explore my creativity without limit. Learning is intensive and your work must be done and delivered on time. I like the fact that the teachers are always available after class to help you with areas of difficulty to ensure that you understand and are able to deliver.
JACCD to me, is the best fashion design school in the country because first, learning is intensive, second, they have goodwill and access to opportunities, third there is access to alumni and finally, you are equipped to start off on your own.
The strength of a fashion school lies in being able to offer a solid foundation in the history of fashion and clothing. Enrolling in Joyce Ababio College has helped me to work harder and develop several other skills such as to develop my creative profile, style, originality as well as getting fully integrated into the fashion sector
